My 2025 editor reel showcases seven plus years of experience in the industry, working with brands such as Alfa Romeo, Beyond Juice, Cadillac, Chevrolet, the Detroit Pistons, and Detroit Wing Company.
These collaborations have given me the opportunity to work with high-profile talent including Cade Cunningham and other Detroit Pistons players, Dan Campbell, Jalen Rose, and Calvin Johnson.
Each project has pushed me to grow creatively and sharpen my technical expertise as a visual storyteller.
Who AM I?
Ryan Schmitz is a video editor based in Detroit, Michigan.
Originally from near Ann Arbor, Ryan discovered his passion for editing through a love of film and sports content. That passion led him to Central Michigan University, where he earned degrees in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and Communication.
Today, Ryan works as a creative editor in Detroit, with experience spanning creative editing, finishing editing, associate editing, motion graphics, video retouching, and color. He has edited content for brands including Alfa Romeo, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Wing Company, Kresge Foundation, Sam Bernstein Law Firm, and Stoffer Home.
